Beyfortus Information
The providers and staff at Lansing Pediatric Associates strive to keep our patients and families informed and up-to-date on the most recent recommendations for immunizations in our community. As we navigate Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) season in Michigan we wanted to share the following information about the RSV monoclonal antibody that our physicians recommend to reduce the risk of hospitalization due to RSV:
- Lansing Pediatrics will have doses of Beyfortus available for eligible babies beginning Wednesday October 1, 2025.
- Prior to scheduling an appointment for Beyfortus at Lansing Pediatrics, please review the Screening Questionnaire to confirm the child meets criteria for Beyfortus.
- For families with private insurance, there should be no out-of-pocket cost to have your baby immunized with Beyfortus, as mandated by the Affordable Care Act. However, insurance coverage for all immunizations varies by Insurance Provider and plan. Any questions about individual plan coverages should be directed to your Insurance Provider prior to any scheduled appointments.
- When discussing with your insurance, the ICD 10 Code is Z29.11 and the CPT Code is 90380 (children under 5.0 kg) or 90381 (children over 5.0 kg).
- We are not able to offer Beyfortus to children with Medicaid insurance, as Lansing Pediatrics does not participate with the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program at the present time.
- If you have specific questions regarding the immunization please visit any of the resources below. If you still have questions at that time, please call the LPA office during regular business hours and reach the Nurse Line (please note that due to call volumes, this line may have extended wait times and calls should be limited to 5 minutes or less, if possible
